Just another thought

Its been a long time, i have grown up, the memories of the old times just keeps fading as, i always thought and believed that a moment should be lived in a way that it just becomes an integral part of your life. Is this my inability to do that, my obsession with my future or is it just plain blankness.
Holding back for a moment and just turning back i see my life my successes my failure my extent of growth and overall i just cant complain about anything, but still there is a hollowness if i think, i m still looking for the real meaning of life, or is it just a game to be played, is it something to be sacrificed for something u want to achieve, is it something which has to be lived and enjoyed to the max, is it about yourself or about people who love u, is it just nothing more than facing everyday issues and be satisfied or is it about the dissatisfaction which becomes the seed to growth. The questions are amazingly complicated, even the logic of few can be questioned but the premises can't be, discovery of life and finding the meaning of it is something which is to be striven by every individual, even who are far less complicated.

India : a few facts

One side of India :
1. Global hunger index - india 96th among 119 countries. nepal 4 and pakistan 8 spots ahead of india.
2.According to tendulkar committee 37.2 percent people BPL in india.
3.NSSO report states that 250 million people in india spend below 14rs per day.
around 100 million below 9rs.
4.Even after being the 4th larget economy in the world india is still 134th in human development index.

The other side :
1. Forbes in 2009 stated that there are 52 billionaires in India with a combined wealth of 276 billion dollar, or one fourth of countries GDP.
2. Three richest Indians worth 79.5 billion dollar while 24 of their Chinese counter part worth 80 billion.
3. India has the 9th largest expenditure on defence, its expenditure as a percentage of GDP is more than China, France and even UK.

Capitalism in India on surge but the basics that any country must have to strive for as primary responsibility of the government like Employment, Education, Nutrition, Welfare has not been achieved which makes Indian Governments 'feel good' campaign, high GDPs driven governance, desperation to make a global presence and every such effort illegitimate.

Section 377 : an opinion

Last year, Delhi high court in a landmark judgement 'decriminalized' unusual sexual behavior.
To be more specific a sexual behavior which does not lead to reproduction was considered to unnatural, which under IPC was considered a crime with a punishment upto 10 years imprisonment. An appreciable judgement, a big leap for Indian society and inclusion of India in few countries which allows same sex relationships.
It was celebrated through out the country with mass rallies of people in all the metros applauding the judgement with wide media coverage.
The judgement was covered by media and created an enigma that the decision was about the homosexual, the wider meaning of unnatural intercourse was put on back burner.

when a law is made its made with an idea in mind that it will prevent something from happening or something which the society is not ready for at the moment.

When i ask myself, is Indian society ready for such a hype that is given or i should say taken by the celebrating people. A society which still doesn't accept sex to be a basic need for man, a society in which parents hardly ever talk about sex to there children, or i can even say society in which even majority of husband-wife cant talk about sex. What would be the form in which such a society perceive something as unnatural sex. what if children in family going to ask there parents about lesbians and gays, how many of fathers can answer such question.
Human behavior is something in which inquisitiveness turns into experimentation, are we providing them a platform where they are going to try unnatural sex because it has become a 'in' thing. Is the media hype, bollywood backing (movies, celebrities), rallies making homosexuality fashionable is the question which remains to be answered. Last thing we want is our children in the 'fun' the reason for which teenagers try alcohol and ciggs try homosexual or any sort of experimentation.

I would like to mention that a persons sexuality is his or her own decision but when it comes to the societal effect it needs to be analysed.

Hon'ble CJI said that in his knowledge no one has even been prosecuted under section 377.
It was argued that because of this section homosexuals become vulnerable to local police, which hardly satisfy as there is no particular reason for why someone becomes vulnerable and even if he or she does its the administrative problem of police but not legal.

What anyone do inside there bedrooms is the matter of concern for no one but when it comes out on streets it becomes an issue very integrated with society and everyday life.

Section 497 : 150 years, needs a revamp

Section 497 of The Indian Penal code states, A man can be
punished under adultery but not a woman. Thr hon'ble Supreme court
uphelded this law as, necessary seeing the social status and social
development of women.
